It is a tad TOO fine. That's not their fault, it's mine, and it's the orgs fault that I joined, they said this would be perfect.Long story short, I bought this for my training sandbag. The sand does not get out when I put it down (as far as I know LOL) but when I do shoulder presses, standing rows, sandbag shoulder carries, sandbag + rucking, or pretty much anything else where I pull the sandbag up to my chest or over my shoulder, sand always gets in me eyes. ME EYES! Whatever. I'm already in pain lifting the thing up, why not add a little beach to it haha.I will say this is VERY soft, your kids will love it in their sandbox!It is extremely AFFORDABLE. I got 2 25lb boxes because I am doing 40lb sandbag training workouts and I needed it. This was the cheapest sand I found online.There IS dust! You might be able to "wash it" and then let it dry, or perhaps "fluff" it every few hours to get rids of the powder cloudiness. Either way, while I do LIKE this sand, if I bought it for my kid, I probably would NOT want them breathing in the powder stuff. Hell, tat even has ME a little worried. I wore a painters mask when placing it in my sandbag.P.S No weird stuff, no dangerous stuff, no harmful stuff, no bugs, no fleas, no nothing. If you have fleas "in your sand" maybe they didn't come in the sand lol
